Before we begin, make sure you have backed up everything on your phone and take out the memory card

Part 1: Changing your phone’s CDA

1) Go here and register and activate your account
http://www.omnius-server.com/um/registration

2) Go here to download Omnius and extract it using WinRAR
http://www.omnius-server.com/download

3) Now double click “omnius_se.exe” and Omnius will now load

4) Click on “Settings”, then click on “Server Settings”

5) Now the username and password of the account you created and then click on “Save changes”

6) Now choose your phone from the drop down menu

7) Now click on “Identify” and follow the instructions. This is to make sure your phone can connect to Omnius and everything is working well

8 ) Now that everything is working well, click on “Flash”

9) Now choose a generic customization and then click on “OK”

10) Now just follow the instructions

11) Once finished, turn on your phone and go to “Menu->Settings->General->Master reset” and choose “Reset all”

12) After the reset, turn off your phone

Part 2: Debranding your phone

1. 1) Click here to download the Sony Ericsson Update Service, if you don’t have it installed on your PC
2. 2) Run the Sony Ericsson Update Service
3. 3) Follow the instructions

Part 1: Creating the CDA XML file

1. 1) Run the SE CDA File Maker program. If the program gives an error then you will need to have Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 or higher installed on your computer
2. 2) Select your phone’s model
3. 3) Now select a region
4. 4) Click “Create XML File”
5. 5) The “customize_upgrade.xml” will now be created and will be in the same folder as the program

Part 2: Uploading the file onto your phone

1. 1) Turn off your phone and take the battery out and then put it back in
2. 2) Run the A2Uploader
3. 3) Click the “FileSystem Tool” button
4. 4) Hold the “C” button and connect the USB cable. If this doesn’t work try holding buttons “2″ and “5″ together, instead of “C”
5. 5) Now goto “/tpa/preset/custom”
6. 6) Drag and drop the file “customize_upgrade.xml” onto the right panel of A2Uploader
7. 7) Now click “Shutdown FS Manager” button
8. Disconnect the USB cable and turn on your phone
9. 9) A “Please Wait” prompt will appear on your phone, wait until this disappears and turn off your phone

Part 3: Debranding your phone

1. 1) Run the Sony Ericsson Update Service
2. 2) Follow the instructions

If everything went smoothly, enjoy your debranded phone

Here is a tutorial to help you change the background of a flash menu.

The things you will need are:

• Adobe Flash installed on your computer
• The source code of a flash menu (.fla file)

Now lets begin, first you will need to open the flash menu by double clicking on the .fla file, this will load Adobe Flash.

Now click on the “Library” icon
 

Now look for the original background and right click it and click “Properties”
 

Now click on “Import”, and a window will appear
 

Select your image file and click on “Open”.
Make sure the image is 240×320
 

You will see your image on the right and just click “OK”
 

Finally, goto File -> Export -> Export Movie.
This will create your flash menu, with your own background.
 
Now all you need to do is upload it onto your phone. There is a tutorial on this in the “Tutorials” section.

Here’s something of which will interest you all

I’ve heard rumours that FarManager can work with the Yari & Aino, but i can’t actually verify them, as i don’t have these phones. Before we begin, we need to take care of two things.

• 3) The sony ericsson update service (Click here to download) This includes the drivers

Now lets get to work

Extract the downloaded zip file and run the file “Far.exe”
 

Once the program has loaded, press “F11″ on the keyboard, to load the pop-up menu, which shows you all the plug-ins
 

Click on “SEFP2″, this is the plugin which lets you access your phone
 

Click on “Connect”, to start the connection process
 

Turn off your phone and plugin the cable holding the “C” button, alternatively holding the buttons “2″ & “5″ together.
 

Navigate to where your menu is stored on your computer using the left hand column.
Navigate to /tpa/preset/system/desktop/flash using the right hand column.
 
NB “..” – if you click this, then you will go to the parent folder.
 

Click the menu you want to upload on the left hand column, and drag it onto the right hand column
 

Click on “Copy”, which will upload a copy of the file onto your phone
 

Now click on “Quit”, when you have finished uploading all the menus onto your phone
 

Click on “Yes” to exit the program

Here’s a video which shows you how to use the program to create your own rotating logo.

 
You MUST NOT change the action-script, as this will break the rotating logo, and the logo WILL NOT rotate!

Please Note:

You cannot export the rotating logo using Adobe Flash, as the picture will be missing, therefore use the program to create the logo for you. The swf file should be called “Rotating Logo by kr8ter”.

The SourceCode.fla file can be edited and you may change the icons, background, etc.
 
You MUST NOT change the actionscript or any variable names, as this will break the menu, and the menu WILL NOT work!
 
Also, you cannot export the menu using Adobe Flash, as some of the actionscript is missing, therefore use the program to create the menu for you.

Please Note:

The program will launch Adobe Flash and it will close it down after the menu is exported, the menu will be in the same folder as the program. The swf file should be called “Customised Flash Menu by kr8ter.swf”

Pros:

Total Fullscreen in standby not even a dot.
Extra numbers space when typing a phone directly in standby
 
Cons:

You can’t see new sms icon, bluetooth , music , handsfree, silent Icons on top ! but you can still view miss calls and sms in activity menu or pop up..

Part 1: Installing the flash menu

1) Run the A2Uploader and then click on “FileSystem Tool”

2) Navigate to “/tpa/preset/system/desktop/flash”

3) Now drag your flash menu into the right side window

4) Now click on “Shutdown FS Manager”

5) Now click on “Quit” to close A2Uploader

Part 2: Activating the flash menu

1) Double click your theme file and the Theme Creator will open. If you get a message similar to the one above, just click “Yes”

2) Now click on the “XML” icon

3) Now copy and past this line just before the </Sony_Ericsson_theme>, replacing “MenuName” with the name of your flash menu

Then click on “OK”

4) A box will appear similar to the one above, just click “Yes”

5) Now click on the save icon to save the theme, and simply upload the file to your phone using bluetooth or via the cable
