An Impossible Dream Flash Menu
Here is the world’s first password protected flash menu for all A2 phones. The icons change color when you shake the phone.
Inside the zip file, there will be a readme, which will give you the codes, to access the password protected features.
Also, this menu should work on all phones, but i have been unable to test menu. I need feedback to see which phone the menu works on.
Edit: I have now created a simple theme file, to go with the menu, if you prefer to use your own menu, then there is a tutorial in the tutorials section, explaining how to use this menu with your theme. Click here to view the tutorial
Update (07-10-2009):
I have changed the playnow to filemanager and have protected the contacts, as this was requested by many people. The menu should work on all phones, if it doesn’t work on your phone, post a comment saying which phone you got, and i will try and make it work.
Also, i will customise the menu once i have made the menu work on all phones, as this will make it easier to change.

Update (07-11-2009):
I have made it easier to enter passwords by adding a screen, shown above. Also, the password is now the same for all the protected items. Also, if you want to customise the menu, leave a comment and i’ll try and make you one.
Update (07-13-2009):
I have fixed the file so you can no longer access filemanager by pressing number 1, also whenever you press a number linked to a protected item, it will now show the enter password screen. Also, i noticed that i put the wrong password in the text file, i have now fixed that. Sorry

currently you can’t change the passwords as it is a flash file, but you can request which passwords you want, and i’ll change it for you.
Manny, i have not deleted any of your comments, i have to approve your comment before it appears on the site.
DIMM 007, this file does work on the k850, i have tested it myself.
Also, this file should work on all phones.

I’m just wondering, more out of curiosity really. But would it be possible to use the .swf, or a slightly altered one, as a screensaver? That way it would sort of work like a automatic keylock?

i have a G705. the icon is not correct. the first box shud be play now and under the media is application. i cant download the theme creator n the tutorial. it says download finish but the downloaded file’s size is only 170 kb. can u help me?

stupidman, the icons are not incorrect, its just that most people wanted playnow to be filemanager, originally the menu did have the playnow. Also, try to download the tutorial files again, if it doesn’t work try using a different browser. I have tested the files and they do download correctly.

razon, i don’t think xs++ would work since g705 is an a2 phone, A2 uploader should work, have you got the latest version. You can download the latest version from the tutorials section on this site.

I see one problem
When i go into the options menu and select a different menu layout, any not from the theme, e.g.: Rotating, Grid, …
That makes the menu unprotected.
This only appears in the newer phones like W995, W760
Is there any way to remove this funtion ?

Wow this iz beyond awsome great works fine on my tm506 debranded of course. Wuz wonderin if u can change the file manger icon to tzones web icon and radio icon to alarms icon. when I first saw the menu the first thing i thought was about shortcuts and I think that many people would..creating a shortcut bypasses the locked menu..so i think that it would be great to remove the “New shortcut” entry from My shortcuts menu with XS++, A2uploader, Far manager, etc..? then phones should be really locked..

Will you be kind enough to make this menu fully protected (all lock) with the password- **** (for all)… i have w995 – R1FA035.. and by the way, in the 1st icon, file manager does not working. it redirecting it to the default “play Now”…..

kr8ter – On the left hand side, you should see a section called “Categories”, there are two categories called “Shake Themes” and “Shake Wallpapers”. They should work on the c902.

Found yet another bug!!!
When you customized menu for me to lock only Messages and Media, when I press i.e. 0 (Organiser), it shows mi lock menu! And have to type my password! (Looks like you haven’t removed lock when pressing numbers on keyboard).
If you could, please repair it in my menu and upload new version, thanks very much

kr8ter – The theme was created using the sony ericsson theme creator. There is a tutorial on how to use the flash menu with any other theme. Goto the ‘Tutorials’ section listed under ‘Categories’, on the left side of the page

i still got prblems….1st when im trying to use a2 uploader the program doesnt detect my phone…but the computer alreapdy detected it…pls help…and 2nd when i downloaded the theme you provided the menu still doesnt work…i will just save to the themes folder of my phone ryt?…i tried the other flash themes and they work..but this one doesnt wrk for me..pls help me
kr8ter – Try pressing the buttons 2 and 5, instead of ‘C’, when trying to use A2uploader, it might work. Also, did you upload the flash menu to tpa/preset/sysem/desktop/flash/ using A2uploader?

kr8ter – You could either put a pin lock on your phone or use one of the password protected menus on the site. Just post a comment with a password of your choice (4 digits) and i will create the menu for you.

kr8ter – are you referring to the walkman player, if so then that is because of the theme, as it changes the color, otherwise the menu shouldn’t change green, as a green walkman logo isn’t even in the file

suggestion : why not to make the flash menu read password from some text file in phone memory so it can be changed !
there are some flash-wallpapers that can do this …
kr8ter – i know wallpapers can do read text files but flash menus can’t because i think the phone’s firmware restricts them due to security reasons.

Anyway, can you make this theme for k850 with rotate function that can auto rotate to landscape mode. And make settings, contacts and media unprotected. Is it possible?
One more question. Why protect contacts and media when both of them can be accessed during standby screen(when wallpaper shown)?
kr8ter – First of all, i would need to recreate the menu to make it rotate, and i may do this when i get free time since i’m currently working on a new project, and the reason why i protect contacts and media, is that you can change the keys on the desktop, so they do something else. Awesome work man, but i’ve found a bug, you can still access whatever you want through shortcut button on w910i by creating new shortcut, plz find a way around it if possible.

hello again homie, well I think by some uploading via a2uploader you can disable to shortcut button (like I already did with left/right and center softkeys) i’ll try finding it..
+ I downloaded the source but i’m unable to open it in flash cs3 pro ??? it says wrong file format? I wanna change the password !
